The Problem…
If you’re a coach or consultant and are using landing pages from, services like MailChimp or Constant Contact, you’ve noticed there’s a wonky URL that’s created.
Try verbally directing someone to that link. It’s hard and cumbersome!
If you’re being interviewed on a podcast or even having a simple conversation with someone, there will be times you’ll want to tell them about an offer or a resource.
It’s super hard to rattle off a MailChimp or Constant Contact URL. It’ll be hard for you to remember, it let alone say.
The Solution…
Pretty Links is a way to cloak those long and cumbersome links AND helps reinforce your branding.
By using the Pretty Links plug-in for your WordPress site, you use your URL plus a keyword of your choosing. Once set up, your newly created company branded link will redirect to any web address you like.
This allows you to easily say your, company branded, URL to be sent directly to whatever landing page you’d like.
It’s not only easy to say, but, as the plug-in name implies, it’s “pretty” when used in such resources as eBooks, PDF Downloads, printed brochures, etc.
Here’s an example of one of our Pretty Links:

It’s branded to our company and easy to say, easy to read and easy to remember. The link redirects to our MailChimp landing page to download the resource.
Here at Scrivener Solutions, we use and recommend the Pretty Links plug-in. It’s affordable and useful. Their free version is great and usually serves most of our client’s needs. As you grow your consultancy and want more analytics and features, you may consider investing in the upgraded version.
